Our focus is always on improving performance. By analyzing each athlete’s areas of strength and weakness through our volleyball programming, we design off-court training that directly supports on-court improvement. Every session is purposeful, helping athletes translate hard work in the gym into smarter, more effective play during games and practices.

At Aspiring Athlete, our philosophy is to create a high-performance and encouraging environment where athletes are motivated to discover what they are truly capable of. Through a combination of strength and mental training, we aim to help athletes develop the strength, resilience and work ethic necessary for success.

Athletes are guided under the expertise of Coach Maleki Harris, a former CFL linebacker who was undersized for the league but overcame the odds through speed, agility, and strength. His journey embodies the mindset we aim to instill in all our athletes: leveraging determination and smart training to surpass perceived limitations and achieve excellence.
Led by former Division 1 and CFL Athlete
Coach Harris is a South Alabama Football alumni who played five years in the CFL. Despite being undersized compared to many of his competitors, he developed strategies to excel at the highest level through speed, agility, strength, and a relentless work ethic. Having trained at an elite level since childhood, he knows firsthand what it takes to achieve real results.
Coach Harris is passionate about helping athletes of all sizes and skill levels unlock their full potential. He focuses on building both the physical and mental aspects of performance, teaching athletes how to maximize their strengths, improve weaknesses, and translate hard work into measurable on-court or on-field success.
With extensive knowledge in sports performance, weight training, and youth athletics, Coach Harris is committed to guiding motivated athletes toward excellence. His approach emphasizes mindset, discipline, and individualized training, ensuring each athlete develops the tools and confidence to take their game to the next level, regardless of their size or starting point.
