Club SZN Strength & Conditioning Program

The program runs for 8 weeks of the new year, while the club season is still ramping up — giving us a great opportunity to build strength and power before competition intensity peaks.

Athletes will be tested in Week 1 to establish their baseline numbers and again at the end of the 8 weeks to measure progress and highlight areas of improvement. After that, each athlete will receive a 2-month maintenance program to complete on their own for the remainder of the season — helping them maintain their strength, prevent injury, and carry their progress through the rest of the season.

Program Options:

1) GIRLS OPEN CLASS@ The Trainers Box 📍 (for beginner - intermediate athletes)

  • Tuesdays 4PM - 5PM & Saturdays 12PM - 1PM

  • Duration: 2x/ week for 8 weeks (January 12th – March 7th)

2) BOYS OPEN CLASS@ The Trainers Box 📍 (for beginner - intermediate athletes)

  • Thursdays 8PM - 9PM & Saturdays 12PM - 1PM

  • Duration: 2x/ week for 8 weeks (January 14th – March 7th)

3) FVVC U18 @ The Trainers Box 📍

  • Tuesdays 5PM - 6PM & Thursdays 7PM - 8PM

  • Duration: 2x/ week for 8 weeks (January 13th – March 5th)

Program Includes:

  • Sport-Specific Conditioning: Workouts tailored for volleyball performance, focusing on enhancing speed, power, and explosiveness

  • Strength Training: Heavy lifting, including squats, bench press, power movements.

  • Plyometric Training (Plyos): Explosive movements like jumps and bounds to improve vertical jump, reactive strength, and on-court power.

  • Testing: Performance testing to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
