Our Head Coaches
Coach Cornwall (Harris) is a High Performance NCCP–certified volleyball coach with extensive experience across the Canadian high-performance volleyball system. She has coached with Team BC, UFV, SFU, and Volleyball Canada’s National Excellence Program, and most recently served as Assistant Coach and Team Lead for Team Canada’s U21 team at the 2025 World Championships in Indonesia. She specializes in individual skill development, volleyball IQ, and preparing athletes for the physical, technical, and mental demands of post-secondary volleyball.
A BC native and former U SPORTS athlete, Coach Cornwall played her collegiate career at Trinity Western University, helping lead the program to its first-ever Canada West and National Championships. During her time at TWU, she earned First Team All-Canadian, Tournament MVP, and the Ray Lepp Scholarship.
Following her university career, she trained with Volleyball Canada’s National Excellence Program and the Senior National Team, captained Team Canada at the FISU Universiade Games, and played professionally in Germany and Finland for two years as both a setter and an outside hitter. These experiences continue to shape her coaching philosophy and commitment to helping athletes reach their full potential on and off the court.
Coach Harris is a high-performance strength and conditioning coach and former professional football player with extensive experience training athletes across multiple sports. He currently serves as the 2026 Langley Rams Head Linebacker Coach and Head Strength & Conditioning Coach, bringing elite-level standards and structure into every training environment. He specializes in developing strength, refining technical movement, and building mental toughness, with a proven track record of preparing athletes for post-secondary and elite competitive pathways.
A former NCAA Division I athlete at the University of South Alabama, Coach Harris competed professionally for five seasons in the CFL, including four years with the Calgary Stampeders, where he became a Grey Cup Champion, and one season with the BC Lions. Growing up in the South—where football culture is deeply ingrained—he excelled at every level, gaining firsthand experience in high-pressure, high-performance systems.
Today, Maleki brings that lived experience into his coaching, emphasizing accountability, durability, and long-term athlete development. In addition to his work in strength and conditioning, he specializes in defensive positional training, delivering professional-level instruction and attention to detail. His mission is to equip athletes with the tools, habits, and mindset needed to excel in competition — and succeed beyond sport.

Coach Julio is a Professional NCCP–certified coach with FIVB Level I and Level II certifications, credentials that qualify him to coach any national team in the world at any level. With over 25 years of coaching experience, he brings a deep high-performance and long-term athlete development mindset to everything he does, consistently challenging athletes to pursue excellence both technically and mentally.
Originally from Argentina, Coach Julio most recently coached the Women’s Junior and Men’s Senior National Teams, and has led professional teams across Europe throughout his career. His international experience has shaped his emphasis on precision, work ethic, and accountability, while also fostering a genuine love for the game rooted in daily commitment and growth.
Since joining our program, Coach Julio has played a critical role in elevating our training methods, feedback systems, and overall athlete development model. Widely regarded as our most technically proficient coach, he brings deep expertise across all skills—passing, attacking, and blocking—and has a rare ability to develop athletes at every position and level. He also serves as a valued mentor to our coaching staff, and his passion for sharing knowledge makes him an invaluable presence on the court, inspiring both athletes and coaches to continually raise the standard.
