University Off Season Training

University Athlete Summer Training Program

Our University Athlete Program is built for current collegiate players who want to get high-quality reps, refine their technique, and stay game-ready throughout their off season.

This June, you’ll train 5x in a focused, competitive environment — alongside other recruited collegiate athletes. Sessions will include a mix of technical, position-specific work and competitive gameplay.

June Practice Schedule:

📍GRANDVIEW HEIGHTS SECONDARY SCHOOL

  • Friday June 6th 6:45-8:15pm

  • Tuesday June 10th 6:45-8:15pm

  • Friday June 13th 6:45-8:15pm

  • Wednesday June 18th 6:45-8:15pm

  • Friday June 20th 6:45-8:15pm

This program will be led by Coach Julio and Coach Cornwall.

Julio joins us from Argentina, where he most recently served as the coach for the Women’s National Teams. Before coming to Canada with his family, Julio coached numerous professional teams and players across Europe. He is regarded as our most technically proficient skills coach, with a deep understanding of every aspect of the game — from passing and setting to attacking and blocking. His ability to develop athletes across all positions and skill levels makes him an invaluable asset to our program.

Julio’s expertise is often underappreciated in Canada, but those who have trained under him know firsthand the lasting impact he has on an athlete’s growth. We trust him completely with our athletes and are grateful to have him on board. In addition to his work with us, Julio is also the Assistant Coach & Player Development Coach for the UBC Men’s Volleyball program — further demonstrating his commitment to advancing the sport at all levels. We can’t wait to have him take lead on our University Program this summer!

We also plan to extend the program through July! Once gym space is secured, details will be released.
