Perfect for athletes and families looking for clarity, direction, and a personalized plan for what's next.
There is more information available than ever before about athlete development and post-secondary recruiting—but there is also more confusion. Athletes often wonder what level they should be pursuing, whether certain showcases are worthwhile, when to contact university coaches, how to prepare for upcoming tryouts, or simply what they should be prioritizing at their current stage of development.
The purpose of these one-on-one sessions is to provide athletes and their families with practical guidance based on experience—not social media, assumptions, or simply following the crowd. Together, we'll evaluate your current situation, discuss your goals, and create a personalized action plan that reflects where you are now and where you want to be.
Whether you're beginning the recruiting process, preparing for school or club tryouts, building an off-season plan, or simply looking for mentorship throughout your volleyball journey, every session is tailored to the individual athlete.
Each session is 40 minutes in length and is conducted directly with Coach Cornwall. Sessions may be attended by the athlete individually or together with a parent.
Topics May Include
Sessions can be attended by the athlete individually or together with a parent.

Developing a personalized 6–12 month action plan based on your goals

Setting realistic short- and long-term goals, along with measurable milestones to track progress

Creating a plan to earn more playing time, expand your role, or prepare for the next level of competition
Identifying post-secondary programs and competition levels that align with your current stage of development
Choosing camps, showcases, and recruiting opportunities that are worthwhile for your individual goals
Understanding the recruiting timeline and planning when to begin communicating with coaches
Reviewing highlight videos, recruiting profiles, and coach communication strategies
Receiving mentorship through challenges, important decisions, and opportunities that arise throughout the season
Answering any questions related to your development, recruiting journey, or long-term plan
No two athletes have the same goals, circumstances, or timeline, so no two sessions are the same. Some athletes spend the majority of the session discussing recruiting strategy and university opportunities, while others focus on preparing for tryouts, creating a fall development plan, improving their training habits, or making important decisions throughout their season. Every conversation is built around helping the athlete make informed decisions and continue moving forward with confidence.
While these sessions provide individualized guidance based on our experience in athlete development and post-secondary recruiting, it is not a guarantee of recruitment or placement at any specific institution.
Eligibility: This service is available exclusively to athletes who have participated in one or more Aspiring Athlete programs since January 2025.
Our meetings are built on more than a single conversation—they're based on firsthand knowledge gained through coaching and working with each athlete over time. Understanding an athlete's strengths, areas for growth, habits, work ethic, and long-term development allows us to provide more meaningful feedback, realistic recommendations, and personalized guidance than would be possible through a single meeting alone.
Your highlight video is often a coach's first impression of you—and first impressions matter.
Every position should be showcased differently. Setters, liberos, outside hitters, opposites, and middles are evaluated for different qualities, and even two athletes playing the same position may require different edits based on their strengths. Our goal is to build a video that highlights what makes you recruitable while presenting your game in a way that aligns with what post-secondary coaches are actually looking for.
A well-done highlight video allows coaches to quickly identify your strengths, evaluate your potential, and determine whether you're a fit for their program. Poor organization, unnecessary clips, inconsistent footage, or a lack of intentional sequencing can make it much harder for coaches to see what you're capable of.
