Volleyball Training
Our training evolves throughout the year to complement school and club volleyball seasons.
Whether an athlete is learning the foundations of the game or preparing for post-secondary volleyball, we believe they deserve great coaching. That’s why every Aspiring Athlete program and camp is led by highly experienced coaches with university, national, and international-level coaching experience who understand how to teach the game, identify what an athlete needs, and challenge them at the appropriate level.

FALL
September - November
Fall is a great opportunity to keep building and prepare for club season in the new year, especially when an athlete’s school season may not provide the level, intensity, or volume of high-quality reps they need. Our Prospect programs, open to athletes in Grades 6–9, focus on technical development, game IQ, and building strong foundations. Junior, Junior Varsity, and Varsity athletes can apply for our invite-only morning Tailored Training. Which places a strong emphasis on gameplay, competing, and decision-making in a challenging training environment. For high school athletes, the goal is simple: use the fall intentionally and enter club season stronger, smarter, and better prepared. Athletes Grade 9+ can also apply for our Sunday Positional Training, designed to supplement the school season with additional high-quality individual skill development.
WINTER
January - March
For club athletes, winter is performance season—the time of year we want athletes healthy, confident, and playing their best volleyball. Our Prospect programs remain open to athletes in Grades 6–9, with an emphasis on technical development, game IQ, and building strong foundations in all areas. For Junior, Junior Varsity, and Varsity athletes, programming shifts from the gameplay-heavy environment of fall Tailored Training into Combined Positional training, with a greater emphasis on technical refinement and individual development. Athletes of two positions train allongside each other for game-like reps and situations. Training becomes more controlled and predictable, allowing athletes to accumulate high-quality, position-specific reps without adding more high-volume gameplay to their club schedule.
OFF SEASON
June - August
The off-season is our biggest opportunity to push development and build for the year ahead. We offer weekly Prospect, Positional, and Compete Camps across multiple ages and levels, alongside our invite-only Peak Performance programs for Junior, Junior Varsity, and Varsity athletes and training opportunities for university athletes. On court becomes more demanding, with an emphasis on high-quality reps, technical development, competition, expanding each athlete’s game. Invite-Only athletes are required to follow a workout plan whether it be with us or with another trusted trainer. While beach volleyball can be a great way to compete, cross-train, and enjoy the summer, we encourage indoor athletes with big aspirations to use the months away from school and club competition to prioritize strength, power, athleticism, and physical capacity. The off-season gives us the time and space to push, make meaningful changes, and prepare athletes for the demands of the next level.
Our mission is to develop confident, high-performing athletes.
Great athletes aren't built through one program, one season, or one great performance. Development happens over time through great coaching, consistent training, the right environment, and a plan. Our job goes beyond coaching athletes in the gym—we want to educate, guide, and mentor athletes throughout their development so they understand what it takes to chase big goals and have the support to go after them.
We believe…
Big goals require preparation
If you aspire to play at the next level, we want to help you prepare for what the next level actually requires. University athletes regularly balance team practices, strength training, additional skill work, and competition throughout the week. You don't suddenly become ready for that workload when you get recruited—you build toward it. That's why we encourage athletes to consistently develop their skills, strength, athleticism, and training capacity throughout the year, with the off-season providing our greatest opportunity to push, build, and make meaningful changes.
Rest should be part of the plan.
Training seriously doesn't mean training at 100%, 365 days a year. High-performing athletes learn when to push and when to recover. We intentionally encourage breaks from volleyball and don't believe indoor athletes need to move directly from school to club to a full competitive beach season. The off-season can be an opportunity to step away from competition, make big gains in the weight room, recover, and work intentionally on skill development and game IQ. Doing more isn't always the answer. Doing the right work at the right time is.
Confidence is built.
We want athletes to leave Aspiring Athlete with more than better volleyball skills. Confidence comes from doing hard things and proving to yourself what you're capable of. We want athletes to set goals, work toward them, learn from failure, respond to challenges, and experience what happens when they truly commit to something. Volleyball won't last forever, but the confidence, discipline, resilience, and work ethic athletes develop while pursuing their goals can.
Development needs direction.
More camps, clinics, private lessons, all-star teams, coaches, and reps don't automatically create better athletes. Great development needs direction. All of these experiences can add value, but constantly jumping from one opportunity to the next can leave athletes with a lot of information and very little understanding of what they actually need to work on or badged but no development. Truth is, the longer an athlete trains with us, the better we learn their game—their strengths, habits, tendencies, what we've already addressed, and what needs to come next. Instead of starting over every time they enter the gym, we keep building. We believe athletes benefit most from having a plan and qualified people they trust to help connect the pieces, prioritize what matters, and guide their development over time.
Rooted in Surrey & Langley.
Our home gyms are All Elite, BC Prep, and Surrey Christian Secondary, but you’ll find us training throughout the Lower Mainland year-round. We try to offer programs and camps at a variety of locations so we can reach and support as many athletes as possible. Locations vary by program and season, so please check each individual program listing for specific training locations.
